(Q#1)What purpose or benefits is it to do a colon cleanse?(Q#2)Would prune juice work the same??

I guess the theory is that toxins are held in your colon...along with undigested particles of meat and other stuff. Prune juice would not do the same. A hycolonic needs to rinse all those folds in your colon with water, or sometmes yogurt- to replentish the good flora that lives in there...so the theory goes.(Q#1)What purpose or benefits is it to do a colon cleanse?(Q#2)Would prune juice work the same??
one purpose would be before a colonoscopy. The rectum and colon need to be cleansed before the procedure. As far as prune juice, it depends on what you are cleansing for. For yourself then sure, but for a procedure, you need to do what the doctor advises.(Q#1)What purpose or benefits is it to do a colon cleanse?(Q#2)Would prune juice work the same??
Honorable Rajneesh acknowledges the benefits of a colon cleanse as follows:

1) Rid the body of toxins and other impurities resulting from consumption of meat, eggs, dairy and alcohol

2) Rejuvenate the spirit

3) Promote a healthy colon

Accordingly, Honorable Rajneesh does not believe that prune juice, while admirable, cannot alone cleanse the colon. In addition, your regimen should consist of herbs such as senna and cascara sagrada, brewed and enjoyed in a delicious tea. As well, a healthier dietary regimen, focusing on raw vegetables, raw fruit, and high fibre, should be followed going forward.
